Ryan runs the Strategy team at Insight M, which is focused on generating and delivering key data analytics such as benchmarking and the Optimizer and on ensuring the GTM team at Insight M has the data and analytics they need to satisfy customers and win new accounts. This includes generating strategic insights from our industry-leading dataset, developing new benchmarks, and continually improving the Optimizer to reflect key market developments like the IRA methane fee. Additionally, Ryan owns Insight M’s carbon impact, which is a key metric for the success of the company.

Prior to Insight M, Ryan worked in a variety of energy- and impact-focused roles from venture capital to international development finance. He worked at Energy Innovation Capital and led due diligence on Insight M when EIC first invested. Before EIC, he was the Senior Project Development Officer at Xacbank in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia where he managed over $30 million in energy efficiency and renewables-focused lending facilities and the country’s largest carbon project that generated over 50,000 tonnes of carbon offsets each year. While in Mongolia, he also founded Smart Air Mongolia, a social enterprise specializing in affordable clean air products and air pollution education, research, and social outreach in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia — one of the world’s most polluted cities. Smart Air Mongolia’s purifiers are the most affordable, simple, no-nonsense indoor air purification solution on the market.

Ryan holds an MS/MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and Doerr School of Climate and a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
