Landon Blair

Landon oversees all data collection and analysis for Insight M, ensuring that Insight M operations meet all customer-facing and technical needs. He excels at implementing data analytics to solve business problems and works to empower all Insight M employees with the tools and information they need to succeed. His background in astrophysics helps him break down Insight M’s complex operations into common-sense models that enable the company to set a clear strategy, even with highly technical remote sensing operations.

Landon started at Insight M in 2015 as their first Operations Engineer, putting his in-progress master’s degree on hold to pursue a role at a promising company with an exciting mission. He was charged with all data collection with their prototype instrument, and in 2016 traveled across the country with Insight M’s first methane detection instrument to begin building their industry-leading trove of methane data. 

Landon naturally gained experience across all facets of Insight M’s tech and business through the years, and as Insight M grew, Landon built the Operations department to fit their needs through the company’s various stages. Today, Landon manages the Flight Operations, Operations Engineering, Data Analysis, and GIS departments.

Landon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Astrophysics from Rice University, graduating cum laude.
